The second largest reef in the world starts a little bit north of Cancun and stretches down to Honduras in Central America.   In Puerto Morelos, (23 miles south of Cancun) this reef hugs the coastline for 9 miles. The closeness of the reef to the shore (about 500 yards) is a natural barrier for the village. It also keeps the waters calm on the inside of the reef. The depth of the water is shallow, between 5 to 30 feet, which makes conditions ideal for snorkeling. Our tour starts on boad of the exotica cruise, on board you will enjoy a scenic Lagoon Cruise through Jungle channels, crossing over to the Caribbean Sea.
