PREVIOUS DAYS Day 1. MEXICO Arrival at Mexico City airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Overnight. Day 2. MEXICO CITY Breakfast. In the morning, visit to the Main Square: Zócalo, Cathedral, Government Palace, Diego Rivera’s murals. We will continue to Reforma Avenue and Chapultepec .Then visit to Anthropology Museum, one of the most important in the world. You may stay there on your own or go back to the hotel. We suggest an optional tour to Xohimilco´s water canals. Overnight. TOUR DEPARTURE DAY DAY 3° (WED) MEXICO DF. * QUERETARO * SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE Breakfast. Departure to Querétaro where we will visit the Aqueduct, the Ex-Cross Convent and Historic Downtown. Head to San Miguel de Allende, where many intellectuals and retired people live in. Visit: San Miguel’s Parish with the Holy House Chapel, the Inquisitor House, the San Francisco church and the Allende´s house. You may enjoy a great variety of cafeterias and restaurants. Overnight. DAY 4° (THU) SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE * DOLORES HIDALGO * GUANAJUATO Breakfast. Departure to Dolores Hidalgo, where in 1810, the father Don Miguel Hidalgo, began the Independence war. Also José Alfredo Jimenez, one of the most famous musician composers, was born there. Continuation to Guanajuato, where year after year is home of the International Cervantino Festival. Arrival and Overnight. In the afternoon you will enjoy knowing this fabulous city, full of beautiful colonial alleys and plazas. Such as Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the Juárez Theater, Mine of Valenciana, the Kiss Alley or the University. Its streets and subterranean avenues are one of a kind in the country. The “callejoneada” is a classic, companioned with musical estudiantina or tuna valenciana. Other attractions such as the Museum of Quixote, the House-Museum of Diego Rivera and Mommies of Guanajuato. Overnight. DAY 5°(FRI) GUANAJUATO -ZACATECAS Breakfast. Head to Zacatecas, a World Heritage city, with beautiful colonial cities of "pink cantera", among them and one of the most outstanding, the Cathedral, a Mexican baroque style. From "La Bufa" Hill you will be able to appreciate an interesting panoramic view of the city it beholds. We will descend in funicular and afterwards a brief visit of the mine of Eden. Optionally you may enjoy the "Callejoneada", a performance companioned with musical "Tambora" or to assist a discotheque inside a mine. Overnnight. Day 06 (SAT) Zacatecas-Guadalajara Breakfast. We will continue on to Guadalajara where we will visit the principal points of interest: Hospicio Cabañas with splendid mural paintings of Orozco. Plaza Tapatia, Degollado Theater, Cathedral, Government palace and the Rotonda of the Illustrate Men. Guadalajara is the capital of state of Jalisco, where tequila and mariachi were born. Possibility of degusting Mexican cuisine accompanied by a breathtaking ambiance with mariachi music. Overnight. EXTENSION TO PUERTO VALLARTA (NOT INCLUDED) DAY 7° (SUN) Breakfast. GUADALAJARA –PUERTO VALLARTA BY REGULAR BUS DAY 8 (MON) PUERTO VALLARTA. Hotel in meal plan indicated. DAY 9 (TUE) PUERTO VALLARTA DAY 10 (WED) At convenient time, transfer hotel-airport.
