HISTORY  RESTAURANT  ALUX

The unique geologic conditions and atmospheric changes happened since the glacial age gave origin to the creation of an interconnected system of caverns, cenotes (deep underground water reservoirs) and subterranean rivers.

 

These caverns were used by the ancient Mayas as a refuge from atmospheric phenomena and, above all, for their connection with the underworld. One of these mystical places is the ALUX, home of small magic beings called 'Aluxes', great guardians who form a part of this fantastic culture.

 

After years of restoration and planning of low ecological impact, we present to the public these humanity's heritage that waited thousands of years for your visit.

 

In these surroundings of true subterranean palaces, decorated with real singular stalactites and stalagmites, you will be able to enjoy a natural spectacle.

Capacity of 170 persons. 
7 Areas VIP:
5 or 8 persons. 
Bar Lounge:
Capacity for 120 persons.
Bar tortoise:
Capacity for 50 persons.
 

Services:
-Selection of food à la carte of national and international kitchen(cuisine).
-Menu for groups from 25 persons.
-Live entertainment.

Reservations politics: 
-For the paragraph of the date there is needed an anticipation of 50 % on the total amount.
-50 % remaining  two weeks before the event (liquidation).
-These prices do not include 15 % of service.
-Schedule of Service: Monday to Sunday  Of  6:00 pm to 2:00 am

MENU 1

Shellfish
Shellfish, crab sticks and smoked oysters au gratin with fine herbs and a hint of white wine.  

Onion Soup
Classically French, served with croutons and parmesan. 
 

Fresh Grouper 
Served in a tamarindo sauce with chipotle.

Beef Carpaccio

Fine layers of beef served with grated parmesan cheese.  

Cesar Salad
Served with our traditional homemade dressing. (Vegetarian option available without chicken) 

Mayan Desire
Chicken breast stuffed with goat’s cheese and chaya, served over a bed of Julianne vegetables in a mango and ginger sauce.

Fruits of the Sea
Shrimp, calamari rings and fish fingers lightly battered and served with a tartare sauce.   
 

Lobster Bisque
Scented with Pernod and served with pieces of lobster.

 Crab Surprise
Crab filled crepes with dill and garlic in a Dijon mustard sauce.

Onion Soup
Classically French, served with croutons and parmesan.   

Chicken breast in Supreme sauce with mushrooms.
Succulent chicken with a garnish of poached tomatoes stuffed with wild rice and asparagus.

MENU 5

Fruits of the Sea tempura
Lightly battered shrimp, calamari and fish pieces.

 Broth of the Seven Seas
An intense and spicy seafood broth of shrimp, octopus, grouper and calamari served with tender vegetables and a strong infusion of coriander.

Fish Stack with shellfish
Flakes of fish and shellfish in a tomato sauce with a hint of sherry served with asparagus.

Fusilli Tricolor
Mushrooms and octopus in a yoghurt sauce seasoned with coriander and a slight hint of dill.
 

Peppered Steak Fajitas
Beef steak fajitas served with a peppered sauce, creamed spinach and sautéed vegetables.
